Meeting with the Police Chief of Zabul Province

Hedayatullah Nikzad, the provincial representative of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO), in a meeting with the Police Chief of Zabul Province, provided comprehensive information on the working conditions of journalists, coordination with relevant institutions, safety, and challenges related to the media.
The provincial representative of AJMSO also shared information about the organization’s activities and objectives, stating that the organization strives to convey journalists’ challenges to relevant authorities and to ensure the necessary cooperation and coordination for resolving them. He further emphasized the importance of professional growth and development of journalists, as well as the protection of their rights.
On the other hand, Mawlawi Abdul Halim Halimi, the Police Chief of Zabul Province, described the role of journalists in society as important and pledged to take the necessary measures to facilitate access to information and ensure the safety of journalists. He added that coordination between media and security institutions, as well as timely and accurate information sharing, is essential for raising public awareness.
At the end of the meeting, both sides emphasized the expansion of sustainable cooperation and the continuation of joint meetings to ensure that journalists’ challenges are addressed in a timely manner and that media activities become more effective.
