Meeting with the Laghman Police Headquarters on Timely Access to Information and Journalists’ Safety

Atiqullah Quraishi, Provincial Coordinator of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO) in Laghman, met with Younus Yousufzai, Spokesperson for the Laghman Police Headquarters, to discuss coordination and security-related issues.

During the meeting, the police spokesperson was requested to ensure that news and media-related information concerning the department’s areas of responsibility is provided to media outlets and journalists in a timely manner. The meeting also emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and attention to the safety and security of media outlets and journalists.

In response, Younus Yousufzai assured continued cooperation and said that relevant media information from the police headquarters would be shared with media outlets and journalists in a timely manner.

He further emphasized that the safety and security of media outlets and journalists remains a priority for the police headquarters and that serious attention would continue to be given to this matter.

Mr. Yousufzai also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of journalists in Laghman and assured them of his full support and continued cooperation.
