Journalists’ Concerns in Kunar Shared with the Ministry of Information and Culture Delegation
Journalists held a special meeting with a delegation from the Deputy Ministry of Publications of the Ministry of Information and Culture in Asadabad, the provincial capital of Kunar.
During the meeting, Abdul Qudus Shams, the provincial representative of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO) in Kunar, provided information on access to information, financial support for media outlets, and the challenges in these areas. He also shared the requests and concerns of journalists and media outlets with the delegation.
The Ministry of Information and Culture delegation assured participants that it would seriously follow up on issues that could be resolved at the provincial level. It also pledged to refer matters requiring follow-up at the central level to the relevant authorities and make serious efforts to address them.
The delegation further assured journalists and media outlets of its cooperation in these areas.
