Visit to Sabawoon and Maska Radio Stations in Helmand Province

Abdullah Haqmal, the provincial representative of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO), visited Sabawoon and Maska Radio stations in Helmand province.

During the visit, the management of the two radio stations shared information about their broadcasting activities and the challenges they currently face in carrying out their work.

The radio station representatives said that they have accumulated some outstanding electricity bills due to the high cost of electricity. They called on the relevant authorities to help reduce the outstanding amounts and allow them to be paid in installments.

Abdullah Haqmal expressed his commitment to supporting media outlets in addressing their challenges. He said that he would share the concerns raised by the two radio stations with the AJMSO central office so that the issues could be raised with the relevant authorities and efforts made to find solutions.

Haqmal further emphasized that the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization is working to identify the challenges faced by media outlets in a timely manner, raise these issues with the relevant authorities, and explore appropriate ways to address them.
