AJMSO Representative Meets with Helmand Information and Culture Officials

Abdullah Haqmal, the provincial representative of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO) in Helmand Province, met with Mawlawi Sher Mohammad Wahdat,head of Information at the Helmand Department of Information and Culture.

The meeting focused on the situation of journalists and media outlets in Helmand, AJMSO’s activities, and the challenges faced by journalists and media organizations.

During the meeting, Haqmal briefed Mawlawi Wahdat on AJMSO’s objectives, activities, and programs aimed at supporting journalists and media outlets, addressing their challenges, and strengthening their professional capacities.

Mawlawi Sher Mohammad Wahdat welcomed AJMSO’s activities and expressed his appreciation for the organization’s efforts to support journalists and media outlets and contribute to addressing their challenges.

He also called on AJMSO to organize professional workshops, training programs, and other capacity-building activities for journalists in Helmand Province to help enhance their professional skills and knowledge.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and coordination, supporting media outlets, strengthening the professional capacity of journalists, and improving coordination between journalists and relevant institutions.

The Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO) works across Afghanistan to support journalists and media outlets, raise and address their concerns, and strengthen their professional capacities.
