Coordination Meeting Between AJMSO Provincial Representative and the New Director of Information and Culture in Zabul

Hedayatullah Nikzad, the provincial representative of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO), held an introductory and coordination meeting with Mawlawi Ahmad Mukhtar, the newly appointed Director of Information and Culture in Zabul province.
During the meeting, both sides discussed media activities, challenges faced by journalists, access to information, and the strengthening of coordination between media outlets and government institutions.
Nikzad congratulated the new Director on his appointment and expressed hope that a better and safer working environment would be provided for journalists and media workers in Zabul province. He also emphasized the importance of joint cooperation in supporting journalists, strengthening freedom of expression, and addressing media-related challenges.
Meanwhile, Mawlawi Ahmad Mukhtar highlighted the important role of journalists and media, stating that facilitating access to information, supporting media outlets, and cooperating with journalists are among their key priorities. He pledged to take the necessary steps toward strengthening media, resolving journalists’ problems, and expanding mutual cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of continued cooperation in media development, capacity building for journalists, and further strengthening mutual understanding.
The Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO) works across the country to support the rights of journalists and media outlets and believes that journalists and media are the most effective and trustworthy means of delivering accurate and reliable information to the public.
