AJMSO Representative Meets Balkh Deputy Governor Sibghatullah Turan, the representative of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO) in Balkh Province, met with Noorulhadi Abu Idris, the Deputy Governor of Balkh.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on effective ways to improve cooperation between journalists and relevant institutions, reviewed the situation of journalists and local media in Balkh, and discussed the identification of challenges facing journalists as well as possible solutions to address their concerns and demands.
Sibghatullah Turan, AJMSO’s provincial representative in Balkh, highlighted several key challenges facing journalists in the province, including limited timely access to information, economic difficulties, and the lack of support programs for media organizations and journalists.
Noorulhadi Abu Idris, Deputy Governor of Balkh, described the role of the media in raising public awareness and promoting transparency in society as both important and influential. He stated that efforts to support the media sector in the province would continue.
Mr. Idris also noted that the concerns, requests, and challenges raised during the meeting would be addressed within the framework of the available resources and capacities.
The Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO) continues to facilitate constructive meetings and dialogue with government officials and media representatives across the country to create a more enabling environment for accurate information dissemination and the promotion of freedom of expression.
