A Meeting with the Head of Information and Culture in Badakhshan
Ahmad Jawad Forogh, the provincial representative of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization, provided comprehensive information about the organization’s activities and emphasized its key role in defending journalists’ rights, enhancing professional capacities, and creating a safe working environment for media personnel.
He also pointed out the challenges and problems faced by journalists at the provincial level and called for greater cooperation from the Department of Information and Culture to address these issues.
Meanwhile, the Head of Information and Culture of Badakhshan welcomed the activities of the organization and described the role of media as vital in cultural and social development, as well as public awareness. He assured that the department is ready to provide all necessary cooperation within the legal framework to support journalists and media organizations.
At the end of the meeting, both sides emphasized the continuation of joint meetings, increased coordination, and joint efforts to improve the working conditions of journalists in Badakhshan, in order to further facilitate professional and effective media activities.
