Online Cybersecurity Training Workshop Held for Female Journalists in Kabul

The Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO) organized an online cybersecurity training workshop for Female journalists in the Kabul.
The workshop was conducted with the aim of enhancing the professional capacities of Female journalists, particularly in the areas of digital safety and responding to cyber threats. Key topics covered during the training included identifying cyber threats, protecting accounts and personal information, social media security, secure online communication practices, password management, prevention of phishing attacks, and practical strategies to reduce digital risks. 
Twenty Female journalists from various media outlets across the country participated in the workshop and actively engaged in discussions and practical exercises. Participants also shared the challenges they face in their online activities and exchanged views on ways to ensure safer media practices in the digital environment. 
Recognizing the importance of cybersecurity for journalists—especially women journalists—the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization considers such initiatives an important step toward empowerment, raising awareness, and supporting their professional activities.
The organization remains committed to organizing similar training programs in the future to further strengthen journalists’ professional capacities across different areas of media work.
