Head of the Afghan Media and Journalists Support Organization (AMSO) Meets with the Deputy Governor of Herat
Abdul Qadeem Wyar, Head of the Afghan Media and Journalists Support Organization (AMSO), met with the Deputy Governor of Herat to discuss and exchange views on the situation of journalists and media outlets in the province.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the need for serious attention to the problems and professional challenges faced by journalists. The status of media in Herat, existing opportunities, and ongoing efforts aimed at improving media activities in the province were also discussed.
Another key focus of the meeting was strengthening coordination between media organizations and government institutions at the provincial level. In this context, the importance of cooperation by government entities in ensuring journalists’ access to information and facilitating the flow of information was emphasized.
The meeting also addressed the need to create a more enabling environment for journalistic work and to provide a more suitable space for the professional activities of journalists in Herat. Both sides stressed the importance of comprehensive cooperation with journalists and media outlets in the province.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Deputy Governor of Herat expressed the provincial administration’s readiness to cooperate with journalists and media organizations. Mr. Wyar also emphasized the continuation of constructive dialogue aimed at improving the media landscape and journalistic work in Herat.
