Introductory Meeting of the Provincial Representative of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization with the Head of Information and Culture of Nangarhar
Faqir Mohammad Faqirzai, the Provincial Representative of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO) in Nangarhar, held an introductory meeting with the Head of Information and Culture of the province. The meeting was conducted to strengthen coordination, introduce the organization’s programs, and review the situation of media outlets and journalists in Nangarhar.
During the meeting, Faqir Mohammad Faqirzai provided a brief introduction to the organization and explained its objectives and programs, particularly in the areas of legal support for journalists, professional capacity building, and creating a safe working environment for media activities. He emphasized that AJMSO strives to facilitate the growth and development of media across the country in cooperation with relevant institutions.
The Head of Information and Culture of Nangarhar welcomed the activities of the provincial representative and highlighted the important role of media in reflecting realities, promoting constructive public awareness, and strengthening communication between the public and the administration. He assured that the Directorate, within the framework of applicable laws and procedures, would support professional media activities and enhance cooperation and coordination with the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the continuation of joint cooperation, the establishment of effective coordination between media outlets and the Directorate of Information and Culture, and efforts to address the challenges faced by journalists in Nangarhar.
