Meeting with Officials of the Information and Culture Directorate of Maidan Wardak Province

Jamilullah Hairan, the provincial representative of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization (AJMSO), held an introductory meeting with Mawlawi Habibullah Mujahid, Director of the Information and Culture of Maidan Wardak Province, and Najibullah Fikrman, Head of the Information Department of the Directorate.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the situation of media outlets in Maidan Wardak Province, the challenges faced by journalists, and the need for greater support for them.
Mr. Hairan provided comprehensive information regarding the establishment, activities, objectives, and future plans of the organization to the Head of Information and Culture and the Director of Information.
He emphasized that AJMSO will continue its efforts in Maidan Wardak to enhance journalists’ capacities, support their safety and protection, organize seminars, and further strengthen their professional development.
Meanwhile, Mawlawi Habibullah Mujahid, Director of the Information and Culture, welcomed the efforts of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization and assured that the Directorate would provide the necessary cooperation in coordinating with and supporting media outlets and journalists. He highlighted the important role of the media in raising public awareness and ensuring people’s access to accurate and reliable information, and stressed the need for capacity building in this sector.
The Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization believes that strengthening coordination and cooperation among journalists, media outlets, and relevant institutions across the country is of great importance and will continue its efforts in this regard
