Abdul Qadeem Wyar, Head of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization, visited media outlets in Kandahar Province during his official working trip.
The visits were aimed at assessing the challenges and problems faced by media organizations in Kandahar, enhancing the capacity of journalists and media staff, and encouraging them to continue providing accurate, responsible, and timely information to the public.
During the meetings, the head of the organization emphasized the vital role of media in raising public awareness and stated that supporting journalists and media outlets—especially under the current circumstances—is one of the organization’s top priorities.
Discussions also focused on exploring effective and practical solutions to address the economic challenges faced by media outlets, improving the professional skills of journalists, and conveying the demands and concerns of media workers and organizations to relevant authorities.
At the conclusion of the visit, the head of the Afghan Journalists and Media Support Organization assured that the organization would share the issues and recommendations of Kandahar’s media outlets with the relevant authorities and take practical and effective steps to improve the overall media situation.
